This project was initiated in the summer of 2016 as part of the exhibition "Complex Topography:
Movement and Change" that took place in the Ritsurin Garden, in the city of Takamatsu, Japan.
It intends to propose a way to regard a place, not as a fixed and static entity but as a process,
as a complex collection of interconnected narratives created in in different spatial and temporal contexts.
Stories originated far away can end up being central in the construction of a place for better or worse. The traces can be found in the material elements of the place and more importantly, in the imaginaries of the people. In this sense, the work consists in introducing an apparatus in the form of a framework of chapters.
We propose a medium, a structure that is not finished. It is for the participants to build it through conversation and is ultimately left open for endless evolution. This project is conceived to be always in transition, adapting to its different environments, migrating following the visual or textual suggestions that emerge in the processWe invite you to take part in this process of transforming the space through your imagination
